César Franck's Chorale No. 1 in E Major played by Joseph Wicks on the BIS Organ using the Saint-Ouen organ by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll/Christoph Schmitz. This particular performance has been recorded using Hauptwerk 7.

Joseph Wicks is a prize winning organist, singer and conductor having been formerly Assistant Organist of St John’s College, Cambridge and Assistant Director of Music at Truro Cathedral. Joseph is a founding member of The Gesualdo Six and founded The Beaufort Singers.

Throughout 2022 we are going to celebrate the bicentenary of César Franck's birthday by performing all of Franck's major organ works on BIS. these will be featured in our guest organists' recitals throughout this year, accumulating with an Organ Album of his organ music on his birthday - 10th December 2022!
