Jieun June Kim is a Toronto based, Korean born painter and muralist.  She has exhibited her paintings around the world since 2010 at notable galleries and events. Since she moved to Canada, she has painted numerous murals since 2017, exploring the idea of “home” as an immigrant and creating safe space. Jieun is co-founder of KJ Bit Collective who create murals and street art events such as “Laneway Light Up” project (2018). She is also the recipient of the Newcomer and Refugee Artist Mentorship grant from the Toronto Arts Council (2018).

The featured exhibition was part of the Northbound Gallery Program with North York Arts.
