TL;DR: You play as a badass (cyborg) ninja just like Gray Fox from MGS: Solid Snake but more Ninja & more Cyborg… & almost as badass. If you want more than that then you’re obviously another Kellogg’s crunchy nut.

In Warframe you play as Tenno, warriors of blade & gun, masters of Warframe armour. A long time ago, after a war, you’re left drifting in cryostasis among the ruins. A faction known as the Grineer have spread throughout the solar system, attacking peaceful colonies to grow them armies. The Lotus, a mysterious figure, rescues you from cryostasis and has given you a chance to survive. With her guidance & teachings, you will master the ways of the Warframe and learn the secrets to unlocking their powers.

The game can be played single player or cooperatively in Play versus Environment/PvE both of which require an online connection. There is currently as of this time a multiplayer/Player versus Player/PvP known as Conclave.
