The GTX 980 In 2023 - Small Price Tag, Surprising Performance!

The minimum for solid 1080p PC gaming seems to be changing all the time, but the 4GB Nvidia GTX 980 seems to be the latest graphics card that can still get away with playing even the latest games at native resolution.

Launching at over $500 almost 9 years ago, the 980 is in-part limited by it's 4GB VRAM. Other than that, this GPU is still supported by the latest drivers and supports DX12.1, meaning it's able to start everything you can throw at it.
