Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (#FLN) has been accorded the highest priority in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, recognising it as the cornerstone for all future learning. This national clarion call was further strengthened by the launch of the #NIPUNBharat Mission by the Government of India in 2021.

In this film, we bring to life the green shoots of progress that are being seen in Uttar Pradesh today - result of a systemic push for FLN skill-building as part of the state's NIPUN UP Mission.

As one of the pioneer states to focus on FLN, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken multiple steps to strengthen teaching-learning in the classroom - right from high-quality TLMs to teacher support through academic mentors.
