July 1st marked the first day of Hong Kong under the new security law imposed by Beijing. Hong Kong Police announced that they had arrested a total of 370 people, including four Epoch Times dispatchers. These dispatchers refused to wear prisoner uniforms at the police station. Of them, Ah Juan, was threatened by the police with being sent to mainland China to have her organs removed.

Ah Juan is a Falun Gong practitioner and often distributes Epoch Times publications during the Hong Kong protests. The police did not target her in police roundups in the past, but that all changed after July 1st.
