Northwest Odyssey 1970

Описание к видео Northwest Odyssey 1970

There's something for everyone in this video. Alcos, Baldwins, an FM, first and second generation EMD's, GE 70 tonners, U Boats, F units and FA's, you name it. More 8mm film from the eBay archive, with a few supplements from my personal Super 8 films. Part 1 is taken from the Empire Builder in the early months of the BN merger traveling from Seattle to Whitefish. Part 2 was taken on a Bay Area railfan group trip that went up the Inside Gateway route to Lookout, thence across McCloud River line with steam supplemented by diesel to Mt. Shasta, then up the SP Cascade route to Chemult, OR, thence to Portland via Springfield. Part 3 is a compendium of mainline and shortline activity in WA and northern OR. Part 4 is the return excursion back to the Bay Area via the SP&S-Oregon Trunk-Inside Gateway. Part 5 follows the Inside Gateway route south through Bieber onto the Western Pacific, ending up in Stockton, CA. All film was silent with sound added from my video and audio library. Enjoy!
