TEDCity2.0: Emily May

Описание к видео TEDCity2.0: Emily May

In this rousing talk, feminist activist Emily May paints a picture of a world without street harassment — one where women can go about their business without the indignity of catcalls or the dehumanization of assault. But she’s not just dreaming about it, she’s making it real. Emily leveraged her 2012 City 2.0 Award from TED to complete a first-of-its-kind app, where users geo-document street harassment, crowdsourcing critical data, and influencing government policy in the process. It is currently being piloted in New York.
