I don’t often share things I do to plan my garden spaces, but last year I found this method to be pretty effective… so I thought I would show you a simple and effective way I’ve found to reflect and pivot into the new year.

Here’s how I create a garden end-of-year debrief and future plans…

DEBRIEF
What worked this past year?
What didn’t work?
What do I get to add next year?
What I learned this year / success stories

PLANNING
Set some goals for the next season
Write out or paste in planting calendars
Create a seed / plant wishlist
Make space for planting logs with dates
Make weekly / monthly / seasonal task lists
Draw up a simple garden plan
Research problem areas you foresee (use your “What didn’t work” from your debrief if needed
Individual plant/variety logs to track
