They're new to the hiking scene and are eager to help, but have limited rooms. If you're not planning to stay here, but would like to mail a resupply box, you may want to call ahead before mailing.
(They also have a couple washers and dryers. )

Places to cache water:
Unless we have a super dry season, we can't really think of any place other than Deadman Gap and Winding Stair Campground to cache water. NOTE!! Winding Stair Campground has no running water!

Through the infamous "dry section":
During the wet season (March/April) you can usually get water at Tan-a-hill spring, Turner Creek (just down the road from Turner Gap Shelter. The dirt road crosses the creek), and several drainages that cross the trail. When it's dry, water can be easily cached where the trail crosses FS Road 76/76A at Mile 85.5

Other goodies:
Karen Lee Trail Angel:
(501) 701-9412
Will help hikers in an emergency situation (minor injury, bad weather escape, etc), and can provide lodging @ $30 per night. (Pet friendly)
