Hunter Renfro had a pair of touchdown catches as the fourth-ranked Tigers won their fourth straight over rival South Carolina 34-10 inside of Williams Brice Stadium.

Renfrow, the one-time walk-on, had a 4-yard touchdown grab to put the Tigers up 20-0 at halftime. He opened the third quarter with a twisting, 61-yard catch and run that thwarted any hopes of a Gamecocks' comeback.

South Carolina Will Muschamp said after the game that his players did not regret their motto, "Never again," which arose a short time after the Gamecocks 56-7 battering to Clemson in 2016. "We didn't play as well as we wanted to," quarterback Jake Bentley said, "but we're never again going to stop competing and playing as hard as we can and we showed that tonight."

Adding to the drama off the field, in the days leading up to the game, Todd Ellis, South Carolina's play by play announcer, said "Clemson is scared to death of Will Muschamp's progress. That's a big part of this game as well. We are the up and coming team. They are cycling out. We're cycling in. That's a big part of the fear from the Tigers right now."

The cycling out comments would be another enduring memory etched into the rivalry.
