A London Cardiology registrar who quit over Dominic Cumming's controversial car journey during lockdown has written a book about the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr Dominic Pimenta appeared on Good Morning Britain in May and threatened to resign if the PM's aide didn't. He told GMB at the time - ''It's incredibly insulting to myself to the NHS staff and frankly to everyone in this country who's lost loved ones,' adding: 'It's unacceptable and I will not accept it. 'I haven't seen my parents since January. Frankly, Cummings spits in the face of all our efforts, the whole NHS. If he doesn't resign, I will.' He stood down in June. Now he's written a book - 'Duty of Care' about working on the frontline of the NHS during the pandemic as well heroic efforts of his NHS colleagues and the moving stories of human kindness and generosity that came out of the crisis.
