These Shards are the economic engine of PD2 this season, allowing us to craft powerful early-game items and gamble for those perfect high-runewords without spending all our High Runes (HRs). Every single Shard found is a massive step forward in the early ladder race.

Why the Corrupted Zone (CZ)? Simple: Increased Drop Rates! CZs are the single best place outside of maps to secure Shards, giving us the quickest path to crafting staples like an early endgame weapon or armor. Watch the moment we secure our first one of the day—that sound is pure dopamine!

What are we crafting with these Shards? We're aiming to stack them high for a crucial early-game trade, or maybe we'll roll the dice on a key piece of gear to push higher difficulty maps! The possibilities are endless, but the grind starts here.
