Wooltech installed two wool sampling lines in country NSW during July/August 2017. These machines are our latest generation line with a large number of improvements.
Features include:-
Automatic Bale weight capture to the Wool Store Database. This eliminates manual entry errors, reduces data entry time and the operator work load.
An integrated Bale Pictures System that helps the operators to identify bales and track them through the machine.
A first ever ability for a fully automatic machine to take twenty grabs from one bale.
A fully enclosed bale pusher to comply with the latest safety requirements.
A new system to reliably detect blocked core tubes while eliminating the requirement to regularly clean sensors in the sample box.
Unique to Wooltech these wool sampling machines are supported remotely for diagnostics and program upgrades.
A Wool Sampling Line can spend almost half the working day stationary during lot changes and production interruptions. This machine has been designed to minimise these delays. It will also be able to be fully integrated with wool ware house systems to take the best advantage of electronic bale identification when it becomes available.
