At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), our employees care deeply about our patients and their families. Many employees have a strong connection to and are deeply involved in supporting our surrounding communities, volunteering time outside of work hours to promote health and wellness.

CHOP leadership recognizes this commitment to serving others and encourages employee involvement. In 2013, the hospital created the CHOP Cares Community Grant Program to provide financial and technical support to help employees develop and implement programs that fill specific health or wellness-related needs in the community.

This video celebrates the impact the CHOP Cares Community Grant Program has had over the past 10 years. CHOP has awarded more than 200 grants and over $1 million for employees' projects, providing funding for gun violence prevention workshops, food distribution, parent and youth support groups, menstrual hygiene education, iSTEM workshops, career exploration activities and internships, health screenings, and more.
