I don't know if they have sources just as good.

There are many jewelers who buy from the same diamond mines as Tiffany, and sell jewelry just as good.

Tiffany offers routine cleanings of jewelry. They recommend it once a year.

Of course they do. While they clean the ring, they tell you about all their other great deals hoping to sell her matching $900 earrings.

I want to get her the perfect engagement ring. And I want to be able to show her that it's a quality stone.

If she wants a quality diamond ring to show off, get a mainline jeweler's top notch diamond with EGL and GIA certificates instead of scrimping to buy something from Tiffany.

What if she really wants the Tiffany box?

Buy a used Tiffany box off eBay for $5 and put your expensive ring in it.

I don't want something that looks like I bought it off QVC.

You could save money and compromise and get a quality ring at Costco.
