What is the current state of mental health representation in video games? What makes for good representation, and what should we avoid?


The UKIE census reported last year that 31% of the UK games industry has depression or anxiety. This talk will discuss the different approaches games have taken over the years to mental health as well as what has been successful, what has been damaging and what could be done better. Annie will also discuss what we can do better as an industry to better represent mental health.

Several years ago she made the decision to move into games and last year, became the Creative Director of Perpetual Games.
