Console Sports Games of 1993 - Tecmo Super Bowl

One of many sports titles developed by Tecmo here with the fourth entry in the Tecmo Bowl series of American Football sports games. Tecmo Super Bowl is a 16-bit update of their 1991 NES release.

This updated release offers several additions to the NES game, with the usual updated team rosters, weather effect options, changeable game lengths and an offensive playbook that can be modified even in the middle of a game. Like the 1991 NES release this updated version of the game retains the use of the NFL licence of team names and players.

Tecmo Super Bowl was released on the SNES in 1993, with releases in the US, Canada, Japan and Mexico. A Genesis release would also occur in 1993 with releases in Japan and the US.
