Ninnaji Temple (仁和寺), Kyoto City, Japan

Описание к видео Ninnaji Temple (仁和寺), Kyoto City, Japan

Ninnaji Temple (仁和寺) is located in the northwestern part of Kyoto City in Japan.

Ninnaji Temple was founded by the fifty ninth emperor, Emperor Uda of Japan in the fourth year of Ninna (888 AD). It was formerly called the Old Imperial Palace of Omuro as it served once as a residence for the Emperor of Japan. The temple is now noted as the headquarters of Omuro School of the Shingon Sect of Buddhism. The headquarters of the nationally known Omuro School of Flower Arrangement is also housed in this temple compound.

This temple has one of the best Heian era style garden, one that is not to be missed. In addition to the many buildings in it's precincts, the temple also has a five storied pagoda. Also, in the precincts are Omuro Cherry Trees and during the Cherry Blossom season, the scene is not to be missed. This temple is also closer to Kinkakuji Temple, so you can cover both Temples in one day, if you are visiting Kyoto City. I have a separate video loaded here that depicts the magnificent Ninnaji Temple Garden.

Enjoy!!!!
