The Sarajevo Pigeon might not be an actual spot but it is definitely one of the city
symbols that is a must see when in Sarajevo.

The pigeon’s habitat is the center of Baščaršija, the oldest part of the city,
and they eat, sleep, spend time on the Baščaršija square, also called Pigeon
square. They fly around and rest on the roofs of surrounding shops.In which
I get accosted by tame pigeons in the aptly-named Pigeon Square in Sarajevo,
Bosnia. I swear, right after this video was taken,about four or five flew
in to attack me for my corn.

If you go to Sarajevo, pay the shady guy in Pigeon Square 1KM/€0,50 for a cup of his corn
Definitely the most amusing fifty cents I've ever spent.

In Turkish, the name “Baščaršija” (baş = top or main, and çar şu = crossroads or trading center) originally indicated that it was the main trading square, located on today’s Baščaršija Square, and it later became the name for Sarajevo’s entire “Old Čaršija”.
