Gw2 | Vale Guardian | Mid strat | Heal Alacrity Druid | Tank + Seeker Control

Описание к видео Gw2 | Vale Guardian | Mid strat | Heal Alacrity Druid | Tank + Seeker Control

In my static, we're often doing mid strat solo heal Vale Guardian (VG). This means that people should not get ported and not facetank any mechanics as this might result in downstate due to the limited amount of healing.

If possible, I try to heal everyone at full health slightly before the green explosion and then use my burst heals afterwards (see 0:18, 1:07, 2:08). There was nothing I could do for the 2 downed players in the last phase as everyone was at full health when the explosion hit and according to the log both players also had all boons (see 2:08); they most likely also got hit by the small AoEs during VG's breakbar at the same time.

In this run, we had an early green spawn which I did not see until the explosion hit (see 0:06). However, since I was still in CA I was able to heal everyone back up.

In order to tank, I need to have more toughness than everyone else in the squad. As Druid doesn't have the defensive tools other classes have, I take as much toughness as possible.

At the start of each boss phase, I cast Stone Spirit to provide Aegis to my subgroup as this prevents blues from spawning below them (see 0:01, 0:56, 1:57).

In the split phases, I pull the green Guardian to the blue Guardian (see 0:30, 1:25), and after both are dead I help at red with cc and heals (see 0:47, 1:42).

While tanking, especially when doing mid strat, I can easily take care of the Seekers by entangling them (see 0:10, 1:06, 2:05) or pushing them away with Glyph of the Tides if they get too close or we get a 2nd spawn. Sadly, an overzealous Mesmer wanted to help as well and pulled the Seekers out of entangle. Due to the breakbar and green, I entered CA and therefore didn't use Glyph of Tides to push them away again; I should have casted Tides before entering CA. However, luckily our Greatsword Mesmer pushed the Seekers away for me (see 1:06).

Disclaimer: Both Monk (Core) or Karakosa (SotO) relic are fine; keep in mind that you need to successfully combo your blast finishers for Karakosa though which requires a squad composition with lots of combo fields or adjustments in your gameplay, making Monk the all-rounder pick. If you don't own SotO for Mace, take an Axe instead - you trade some protection, regeneration, and vigor sources, cc, and healing for potentially unique conditions, range, and faster CA generation. The infusion isn't strictly needed; without it you lose 5 concentration = 0.33% boon duration.
