In this video I'm testing the use of clear gesso as a medium for pastels and I'm doing a realistic pastel drawing of this pine tree.

The clear gesso is Windsor and Newton and it was applied to a 200gsm drawing paper.
The pastels I used were mostly Koh-i-Noor soft pastels and pastel pencils as well as some Conte a Paris pastel pencils.
