With the rise of those co-working environments and virtual offices you get people from different industries all sitting on desks next to each other. Could you rent one and trade in such an environment?

1) Traders - when trading with other traders you have some flexibility; you could ignore fellow traders because they understand you could be busy focusing on the market and they won't get upset.
2) Non-Traders - I remember renting an office in a business centre and I would get random people popping in and asking you stuff all the time. People tend to think you can predict the market and try to get tips from you. While it is okay to talk to people in the kitchen but when you're renting an office in an open space it is difficult to focus when people keep disturbing you. The second thing is obviously confidentiality - you don't want to show your account balances and profits to everyone. Or try to get a desk that is away from the middle and is in a corner to have some privacy. Some people I know can't separate work from home so trading from home won't work for them.
