Mid cap mutual funds and small cap mutual funds currently have elevated valuations as compared to large cap funds. So large cap funds have higher chances of giving better returns than mid cap funds and small cap funds. One can invest a lump sum amount in Balanced Advantage Funds or Multi Asset Allocation Funds. However, if one wants to invest in commodities then Multi Asset Allocation Funds are the right approach. This is especially true for investors who seek higher diversification for their portfolios. Many investors don't look at risk in mutual funds during bull markets but this is the time we need to focus more on risk.
