Madhya Pradesh Government has announced a 2.94% salary increase for all contractual officers and employees starting 1st April 2025.

This decision will benefit over 1.5 lakh contractual employees in the state. Although there were expectations of a 4% hike, the increase has been aligned with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of July 2023.

According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department, this increment is based on the recommendations of the State Contractual Employees Federation.

The revised salary will reflect in March 2025 salaries, payable from April 2025. This move follows the previous hike of 3.78% during FY 2024–25.

Leaders continue to demand a fair minimum salary of ₹12,000 and additional benefits such as DA (Dearness Allowance) for all contract workers.
