180) Home Sweet Algonquin Home!

Описание к видео 180) Home Sweet Algonquin Home!

On Friday, September 22nd, 2023, I left straight after work and drove up north to some Crown Land where I had a fire and car camped for the night. The next morning, I drove even further to Canada’s first and famous Provincial park, Algonquin (established in 1893). There, I hiked 16.2 kilometres to a pristine and tranquil backcountry camp spot on Harness Lake. I immediately inflated my Alpacka Pack Raft and paddled around amid the serenity and silence. Thankfully, there were plenty of dry sticks and branches and I was able to enjoy a roaring fire while watching the sun set. The next day, I went for another paddle amid the early morning fog and rolling mist on the water. It was heavenly! Then, I hiked 16.9 kilometres back to my car and drove three hours back to Toronto. Join me on this beautiful adventure back on Canadian soil!

I returned home to Canada on September 1st; this is actually my 4th adventure since completing the incredibly challenging and stunningly beautiful 956-kilometre GR10 trail through the Pyrenees Mountains in the south of France over 47 days this summer. I will publish these four videos…at some point! If you haven’t watched my 12-part GR10 series, you really should! Check it out, found in the playlist tab.

It’s grrrrrrrrreat to be home! Thank you for watching!
