This is what I felt was missing in the movie:

3. The Ending: Okay, let's talk about that ending. The book's ending was heartbreaking yet hopeful. The movie's felt... rushed and anticlimactic. It didn't pack the same emotional punch.

4. Tone: The movie struggled to balance the romance and the heavy themes of abuse. Some scenes felt too lighthearted, while others were overly dramatic. It was like they couldn't decide what tone to go for.
