Hello friends myself Dr Nagendra thalor cardiologist today we will discuss about simple test to diagnose heart blockage.
How to palpate pulse rate

You need to walk for 30-45 min with a pace that you will feel increased breathing, increased heart rate , sweating.
Or your target heart rate should be 70% of your maximum heart rate.
Maximum heart rate is 220-age.
So for a 40 year person maximum heart rate is 220-40= 180 beat per minute.
Now 70% of 180 is 126 .
So if your able to do 30-45 min walk with your heart rate 126 beat per minute, it means your heart is healthy and no significant Blockage means 70% or more than 70%.
This is similar to TMT test done in hospital, during tmt we attach ecg , measure bp, and check symptoms and when your target heart rate achieved TMT is completed.
So you can do this simple test for blockages.
Also once check your bp, blood sugar, cholesterol levels and avoid smoking and keep your weight in normal
If all these things right than your heart is healthy and no Blockage at present and very less chances of blockages in future.
So start regular exercise and be happy and healthy
