ماں نے عباس کی زینب سے یہ روکر پوچھا
Abbass’s mother asked Zainab sa crying,
کیسے عباس مرا زین سے اترا ہوگا
How my son might have come off his saddle.

آقازادی مجھے سمجھاو مصیبت اسکی
Oh my lady! Please make me understand his misery and trouble
آنکھ کے تیر سے عباس کو الجھن تھی بڑی
The arrow in his (Abbas’s) eye had irritated him too much,
کیسے بن بازو کے وہ تیر نکالا ہو گا
How he would have taken off the arrow without any arms,
ہاتھ تو تھے ہی نہیں کس کا سہارا لیتا
He had no hands, how could he support himself.
منہ لگا ہو گا زمیں پر مرے شہزادے کا
My beloved must have hit his face on the ground,
زخم چہرے پہ بھی عباس کے ایا ہوگا
His (Abbas’s) face must have got injured too.


کتنا مجبور ہے آپس میں وہ کہتے ہوں گے
Everyone would have chanted how helpless he was,
شام والے مرے عباس پہ ہنستے ہونگے
The people of sham must have been laughing on my Abbas
پاوں غازی کا رکابوں میں جو الجھا ہوگا
When his legs would have been stuck on the stirrups.

اسکے لاشے پہ گیا ہو گا جو ابن زہرا
When son of Zehra sa would have reached him.
دیکھ کر ہاتھ کٹے بھائی کے ہوگا تڑپا
He must have shaken to see his brother’s hands being cut off,
علی اکبر سے یہ روتے ہوئے پوچھا ہو گا
Must have asked Ali akbar as crying,
روکا ہوگا بھلا رہوار کو اسنے کیسے
How he would have stopped the rider,
بھر گیا ہوگا لہو شیر کی آنکھوں میں مرے
My beloved’s eyes would have been filled with blood,
گرز جب سر پہ مرے لعل نے کھایا ہوگا
When my son would have been hit by bludgeon on his head.
پشتِ ناقہ پہ ترے ہاتھ بندھے تھے بی بی
Your hands were tied behind the camel’e back oh my lady.
تو بھی ہاتھوں کا سہارا تو نہیں لے پائی
You also couldn’t support yourself with your hands,
درد تو نے مرے عباس کا سمجھا ہو
You would have felt what pain my Abbas went through.

میر سجاد یہ روتے ہوئے زینب بولی
Mir sajjad, Zainab cried and said,
جب گرا غازی تو موجود وہاں پر ماں تھی
When Abbas fell off, my mother was there,
میری ماں نے اسے گودی میں سنبھالا ہو گا
My mother would have held him in her lap.
ایسے عباس مرا زین سے اترا ہوگا
Abbas must have come off the saddle like that.
