Long Live The Jacka (Tribute Video) || Jack History Month 2016

Last year on February 2nd, our friend the Jacka was taken from us. a devoted father, a devout muslim and a bay area legend, his passing was a huge loss for the Bay Area community and for music as a whole.

But even though his physical form is gone, his memory and his legacy live on stronger than ever. His music is still slapped on the daily throughout the Bay Area & the rest of the world, and his influence is obvious in countless songs & albums from mainstream and underground artists.

To commemorate the life of someone so special, we interviewed some of the people closest to him, and released footage every day for the whole month.

Via @EmDubious (Matt Werner): This is by far the most meaningful campaign I've ever done. I can honestly say that from the interviews we've released, the footage that is still in the vaults, and my personal experience, the Jacka was an incredible human being who's impact went far beyond music. We really miss you fam, and I still can't process the fact that you're actually gone. I'm so glad that Thizzler has the platform & the resources to do this tribute to you, but I really wish that you were just still here. But we're going to keep it lit for you forever. Jack History Month is going to be an institution and we'll never let them forget you.
