In this episode of Third Eye, Senior Journalist and Founder The Public India, Anand Vardhan Singh talks about former Director of Central Bureau of Investigation Alok Verma who was removed from his post after he opened a probe against his colleague and then Special Director of CBI Rakesh Asthana. Before he could register an FIR against Asthana and arrest him, Alok Verma was sent on leave by Narendra Modi Government. After he approached the Supreme Court of India and was reinstated as #CBI Director, the Ministry of Home Affairs again transferred him to Director General Fire and Home Guard Services which he refused to accept as he was given a term of 2 years as CBI Director after his retirement.

Now, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a show-cause notice asking why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for disobeying the Government’s order. Anand Vardhan Singh explains the whole matter and tries to find out if the Government is trying to intimidate Alok Verma as he was also planning the open an investigation on Rafale Deal. #AlokVerma was reportedly on the #PegasusSnooping List too.
