How I dropped from 10➞1 handicap! (Part 1/2: Off-course)

Описание к видео How I dropped from 10➞1 handicap! (Part 1/2: Off-course)

I played golf for a long time, and I sucked at it for a long time. And then in 2020, something changed…and I started getting better. Like a lot better.

And from March 2020 to Feb 2022, my handicap went from a generous 10 (gimmes and all) to a legit 0.7. In this video I walk through the timeline of improvements and share the 11 big off-course lessons I learned to drop your handicap fast! (The on-course lessons are in Part 2, coming soon!)

Hope this is helpful! Let me know with the like button, and drop me a comment with what you liked/what worked!

STUFF I MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO
- Putting green: https://www.birdieball.com/products/c...
(IMHO THIS IS THE BEST PUTTING MAT OUT THERE. I have the BirdieBall 14ft x 2ft with a standing mat (def get a standing mat so you can be at the same level with the green))
USE THE CODE "UPBEAT" FOR 15% OFF (Thanks BirdieBall!!!)

- Chipping net: https://amzn.to/3NqUtBv
(I ended up buying this one twice because it's the best I've found)

- Saunas are the best: https://www.foundmyfitness.com/topics...

- Portable sauna: https://amzn.to/3pd4Gbn
(I had one like this for years -- they're surprisingly good! Plus you can use them in the living room so you can watch golf while you increase your lifespan)

- Larger sauna: https://www.jnhlifestyles.com/all-sau...
(I have one of these now. They go on sale relatively often so I would wait for a sale before buying. There are lots of other options too - def do some research for the right one for you. Mine is a 2-person (barely fits 2) low-EMF far infrared sauna.)

- Barre: I use the Peloton app though there are tons of options out there. If you'd like to try the Peloton app, here is a 60-day free trial: https://www.onepeloton.com/digital/ch...

- Peloton bike: I also use the Peloton bike pretty much daily for cardio so I don't need a cookie and a hug by the 12th hole. If you're interested in trying it out, here's a referral code: https://account.onepeloton.com/referr...

**If you're into improving your game, I highly recommend this book:**
Tiger's How I Play Golf: https://amzn.to/3KHalyD
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. Teaches you all the stuff you would have to spend years figuring out on the course, has tons of pictures and clear explanations, and stands the test of time (I've had my copy over 20 years).

Annnddd...here are a couple of my other videos that other folks have liked/found useful:
- How to suck less at par 3s:    • Instant strokes gained: The Essential...
- What's NOT in my bag:    • 3 things I TOOK OUT of my bag and dro...
- What's IN my bag:    • This setup took me from 6→1hcp in 12 ...
- How to pick targets like a scratch golfer:    • Pick your targets like a SCRATCH GOLFER

(PS: some of the links listed are affiliate links so I might get a kickback from them, which I will then spend on golf balls that I will lose on the course and thus the circle of life continues)

WHO AM I
I'm Manu, a full-time desk-jobber and part-time golfer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. After 23 YEARS of hacking at the ball, I finally got my act together and dropped my handicap from ~10 to ~1 in two years.
And I realized we waste a lot of time at the range trying to get better, but there are so many things you can do immediately to get big results.
And so I make videos to share what I've learned and help you make the journey WAY faster (and with less frustration). Hope this is helpful!
