Fixing a Brace

In this video, Pat works Pie in the round pen to address some braces that have come up in the past couple of weeks. As you may recall, we sold Pie to our friend, Chris, about a year ago. Lately, Chris has noticed some changes in Pie and asked for help. Like many horse owners, Chris wanted Pie to be his friend. But in any relationship with a horse, someone has to be the leader and that someone has to be the rider. We work with many students who buy gentle horses and, over time, the relationship deteriorates to the point where the horse feels the need to take over. Now just to be clear, Pie didn't start bucking or running off. It was more of a change in attitude. We're glad that Chris picked up on it early so we can address it before it turns into a bigger problem. This video is Part 1. We'll be posting updates as Pie and Chris make progress.
