(HTG) Doug walks you through how to quickly collect Rare and Legendary Engrams during the Dark Below Story Mission on Moon. Rare and Legendary Engrams are not only used to get rare and legendary guns and armor but it also gives you cryptarch rank. From Level 3 and higher each time you level up your Cryptarch rank you get a legendary package from the postmaster that you can then get more rare and legendary engrams. This method is done by going to the Dark Below Story Mission and playing it on Level 24. Just after the cutscene a large number of enemies will come running out of the door, kill all of them EXCEPT the yelllow Hallowed Knight as killing him will push the story mission along and disable the chekpoint. Note that this method can be done solo or with only two people or with a full fireteam. As long as you don't kill the Knight let the knight kill you and then you will respawn just after the cutscene and everyone will respawn and run out of the door. Using the method you earn on average about 5 rare engrams per half an hour and about one green drop per round. Sometimes you will get a Legendary but we were not lucky enough to get one thins time.
