Crew members for the independent movie "Cement Suitcase" began filming on location in Granger, Wash. on July 2. With much cooperation from the surrounding community, the crew was able to kick off its production with much success.

"Cement Suitcase" shot on location July 2-17 in the Yakima Valley, including Granger, Prosser and Wapato. On Day One, the crew filmed at houses in Granger, as well as at the Golob Dairy, Granger Self Storage and at a car lot on Yakima Valley Highway in Granger. Thanks to the graciousness of the above-mentioned businesses, director Rick Castaneda was able to showcase the Yakima Valley and Granger, his hometown, by capturing such sites on film to share with the nation.

Much thanks goes out to the Green Spoon, a restaurant in Walla Walla which graciously provided breakfast and lunch for the crew.
