This release is very symbolic to me for many reasons. "Sentido'' is the first record with my music - I composed and co-wrote (with various lyricists) all but two of the nine selections. I wrote "Quatro Ventos” soon after I moved to Barcelona years ago.

Life brought me to record it with four wonderful "winds": the flute of Pablo Giménez, the flugelhorn of Àlvar Monfort, the saxophone of Piero Cozzi, and now the clarinet of Gabriel Amargant - together with the dears Horacio Fumero and Nicolas Correa (both are part of the core trio of "Sentido") - Brazilian Guitar Music.

Ramiro Pinheiro is a Brazilian guitarist born in the city of São Paulo (Brazil), currently living in Barcelona. He has performed in major venues and festivals in Spain and Europe, and have recorded, played and worked with musicians such as Horacio Fumero, Rafael Barata, Rita Payés, Pablo Selnik, Gabriel Amargant, Ana Rossi, Albert Bover, Hugo Arán, Jeffe Otto, Felix Rossy, Pablo Giménez, Rodrigo Balduino, Jurandir Santana, Amoy Ribas, Martin Laportilla, Jaume Vilaseca, Rodrigo Bezerra, Ramón Ángel Rey, among others.

Ramiro Pinheiro is a subtle and creative acoustic guitarist from Brazil who is also a talented songwriter. He was mostly self-taught at the beginning, learning the guitar by ear before attending the Conservatório Souza Lima in São Paulo. Pinheiro moved to Barcelona (Spain) 14 years ago and he has been an important part of the local music scene ever since, working with a wide variety of top jazz and Brazilian musicians. While he has appeared on several recordings since 2010, Sentido is his debut CD as a leader.
