Jason Voorhees is a fictional character from the Friday the 13th franchise, and is one of the most iconic horror movie villains of all time. He is a deformed and seemingly unstoppable killer who stalks and murders anyone who comes near Camp Crystal Lake, where he drowned as a child. Jason is driven by a single-minded desire for revenge, and he will stop at nothing to protect his territory and avenge the death of his mother.

In video games, Jason has been portrayed in a variety of ways, from a simple 2D sprite to a fully-realized 3D character. However, his core motivations and gameplay mechanics have remained largely the same: he is a relentless and unstoppable killer who must be defeated by the player.
