Amigos, today I’m going to be making a refreshing, smooth, and delightful fruity water. It’s a lot lighter than a mango aqua fresca, only because I’m finding all fruit overpriced. For those reasons, I’m choosing to use less of the fruit than required. It’s cheaper on the family food budget without compromising the flavor. I prefer this version as it reminds me of simpler times when I didn’t have much, but had everything knowing I have God and family love in my heart. We call this pobresita foods, A.K.A. you poor thing (in a non-aggressive way) 🥰. I know we all have a lot going on, and I hope you’re enjoying your summer. *Agua fresca (Spanish for "fresh water") is a light, non-alcoholic beverage popular in Mexico and Central America. It's essentially a flavored water, more substantial than plain water but lighter than fruit juice


Ingredients
5 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of fruit, such as mango, strawberry, cucumber, pineapple, watermelon, mixed berries, choose your favorite
A little ice
-Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime if you’ll be keeping it in the refrigerator for more than a day
optional decorate with tid bits of fresh or frozen fruit
