The family visits the kipper works to see how herrings are smoked. Women gut the fish. Herrings smoked over fires of oak chips. Old water wheel marked with famous Manx symbol. Young couple walk to Snaefell. Sheep on the hillside. Romantic images of them at the top of Snaefell. He takes her photograph. They meet a Mr Brightson. They look at the view - Mull of Galloway to Solway Firth, hills of Cumberland, Mountains of Mourne in Ireland and Snowdon in Wales.

Manx woman in traditional dress shows them some ancient Manx items - spinning wheel, slippers etc. They visit the Calf of Man. Church at Tynwald Hill. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth attend opening of Manx parliament. King lays a wreath. Ancient clock at Castle Rushen. King and Queen visit Castle Russan as do our holidaying family. Castletown views. Harbour. Dancing in Douglas. The family leave the island by boat.



Gently jokey narration about the young couple needing time on their own and the father not being able to play golf as he has "promised to be a good husband this year".
