In this tutorial we'll be making a simple 5' hybrid whip out of nylon 550 paracord and a piece of 1/2" CPVC. This design is great because it's quick and relatively easy to learn.

MATERIALS:
For the thong:
150’ (45m) of nylon 550 paracord
Measuring tape
Artificial sinew (or thin string)
Scissors
Hemostats (or a clamp and some tweezers)
Lacing needle (or some wire)
Nail polish (or a marker)
Lighter

For the handle:
16" of 1/2" CPVC
1/2" CPVC coupling
1/2" CPVC end cap
Tennis grip (or some other kind of grip tape)
A drill

OPTIONAL: Paraffin wax (enough to submerge the whip, maybe 4 - 7 lbs) and something to melt it in (slow cooker, big roasting pan, etc)
