Today Vincent and her United Methodist pastor husband make prayer beads and teach people to pray with them. Each bead on a prayer strand can represent a word, a praise, or a person you would like to lift up. Vincent says prayer beads can help anyone, even children, find focus in prayer. "Just holding them in your hand is a way of understanding that God is as close to you as the beads are in your hand. My hope overall is that people will understand that God is with them at every moment of every day,” says Vincent.
