Balu river of Bangladesh is a very beautiful river in Dhaka. It divided narayanganj district and Dhaka district. Balu river run beside the beraid village of badda thana in Gulshan of Dhaka. There are many river in Bangladesh. But river is destroyed day by day to throw the waste. Balu river now is live forever. There has many fish. The river birds are seen in balu river. The bank of this river live many fisheries and boatman. They catch the fish and sell the nearer market. On the other hand boat man ride boat and engine boat in balu river.

Balu River runs mainly through the extensive swamps of Beel Belai. And those east of Dhaka, joining the shitalakshya river near demra. It has a narrow connection through the Suti river near kapasia with the Shitalakshya river, and also by way of the Tongi canal with the turag; there is also a link with the Shitalakshya near kaliganj Upazila, Gazipur. Although it carries floodwater from the Shitalakshya river and the Turag during the flood season, the Balu river is of important mainly for local drainage and access by small boats. The bank of balu river is the very favorite travel site in Dhaka. You can travel here holyday. You can turn around with your family in single day.

How to go: From Badda (Natun Bazar) to Askartek Bazar of beraid village by leguna and go to balu river bank by riksha. Around cost: 200 taka only (per head)
