Last week, President Trump said he would consider reallocating $300 billion from the SBA, that was approved in the CARES Act, and shift that to give out $1,200 stimulus checks directly. However, as we cover, Congress would need to approve a reallocation of funding like this.

It is unclear if this executive action is just a bid to gain momentum as we move toward the election, but what is clear is that Congress would most likely not approve this. The Democrats would certainly block this.
