Charola do Convento de Cristo is an emblematic monument from the 12th century that celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was the first oratory of the Knights Templar in Tomar. It is a round church inspired by the mystical temples of Jerusalem with a central oratory where the knights wandered in prayer. With more than 2 thousand meters of walls covered with pictures and paintings about the life of Jesus Christ, it is one of the most impressive and well-preserved monuments of its kind in all of Europe.
