GIDEON, the THRESHING FLOOR, and THE CHANGE

Gideon was a Judge of Israel. You would never know it when the Lord found him hiding in a wine press. Gideon's heart was filled with fear and timidity. Our brother had decided to settle in and get used to the situation. A leader that would have a face to face encounter with The Angel of the Lord and learn to trust God and walk with Him in a courageous faith. This change became a great witness to all those around him. He became just what the Lord called him to be, a leader. Because of this change he and all those that followed him were victorious in the Lord.

It wasn't until he had an encounter with the Lord God on the Threshing Floor and experienced the Lord mercy and not judgement. Gideon found out that the God of Israel is closer than he thought. The Lord God is a God that desires a daily relationship with His people. Yes, He is an ever present help in time of trouble!
