Conservation Under Construction: Building A Waterway with a Grade Stabilization Structure

This short video describes the planning and construction of a grassed waterway and small grade stabilization structure implemented to treat soil erosion concerns on a crop field in Illinois. The grade stabilization structure is implemented using the design criteria for a water and sediment control basin (WASCOB, for short). Illinois NRCS and the Peoria County Soil and Water Conservation District collaborated with many others to create the video.
