Advancing patient care through smart remote monitoring of vital signs

As part of continual efforts to advance patient care and innovate healthcare for tomorrow, Changi General Hospital has partnered medtech company Respiree to develop a wearable medical sensor that can accurately and remotely monitor patients’ pulse rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.

With the sensor, patients can enjoy uninterrupted rest, and the time saved from taking vital signs at the bedside – up to 12 hours for a general ward – will allow nurses to focus on other critical clinical duties, providing what matters most – care for our patients.
