Sports Logic Meets Regenerative Farming (Harris Homeplace Farm)

Описание к видео Sports Logic Meets Regenerative Farming (Harris Homeplace Farm)

Josh grew up on a regenerative farm, before the term “regenerative” was spewed from media headlines. Josh’s dad, Mike, started questioning the way his farm was being treated in the 1980’s, when “get big or get out” was the common motto, but he held firm. Now, 40 years later, the farm is a thriving model for anyone who sees the benefit of using limited inputs and maximized grazing. Josh says that regenerative farming is like sports; you establish a process, and then make improvements as you go. The farm’s bread and butter is their mommas cows, but they have been able to expand into retail meats and other species like pork and chicken. They are seeing an influx of first generation farmers in their area and they love it! They even have monthly meetings with like minded farmers where they visit each other’s farms and share their successes, failures, and struggles.
