Aggro Tau! Adeptus Custodes vs T'au Empire Warhammer 40k 10th Edition 2000 point Battle Report

As promised we're shaking things up with some of the other new Tau codex detachments this week, taking the Retaliation Cadre out for a spin! The Custodes are still struggling a bit on the competitive scene, but Tom loves them, and fancies trying out a new list with one goal - charge the Tau, and hope they don't whiff!

Add to this a scenario with extra objectives AND moving objectives, it's going to be a fun one! One of the last runouts for the Leviathan Mission cards this week, and we're very much excited for the next installment of Warhammer 40k with the Pariah Nexus decks dropping soon!

Ditching the Kroot this week, the Tau focus on trying out one of every new Crisis squad - melta, flamer and plasma. The holy trinity. Backed up by a few broadsides, a smattering of very handy (in fact - best unit in the game) stealth suits and the usual Piranhas, Ghostkeel and Riptide. No Breachers for this week, but they'll be back..

In the Custodes corner Tom's cracking out both dreadnought variants, a fancy Forge World tank, lots of wardens, terminators and some cheeky flying praetors. Not a lot of models but they sure do pack a punch.

As always if you happen to be a faction specialist and want to chuck us some thoughts, please do whack a comment below or hit us up on instagram! Lots more coming down the pipe with our new codex (and new studio army) Chaos Space Marines debut (sorry, this one was delayed, long story...), this coming Monday a re-debut for the Adeptus Mechanicus facing down some Imperial Knights, and once Dan has finished some voice overs - part 2 of our narrative series.
