Alec was so nervous during his first lesson, however looking back on it, he loved it. I wasn't quite so sure, but now it's something he brings up quite often.

As an ESL teacher, I was given an entirely new perspective on how my lower level students feel coming into the classroom. After having one of my children take a foreign language lesson from a teacher who doesn't speak English, I can see why there are often reservations and shyness from some of my students. I can honestly say that having him take this lesson (and yes, he will be continuing), has made me a better teacher for my lower level students.
